From its founding in 1924, our Club has established its own traditions with the building of an exceptional golfing facility and the creation of an atmosphere in which every member feels welcome and at home. slide-6.jpg

We are especially proud of our golf course. Playing to a slope of 130, it is as challenging as it is beautiful. HCC is a member of the Carolina Golf Association and has hosted a variety of local tournaments including the Maria Parham Hospital, Vance Granville Community College outing and more…. The guests who have played in these tournaments have raved about the layout and condition of our course, calling HCC a "hidden gem" and one of the finest courses they had played. Our membership agrees.

Our 18-hole championship style golf course has wonderful character and can challenge some of the best in the state. Our course has been redesigned many times since the 1920’s and the old sand greens of West End Country Club. In 1968, Gene Hamm, who also designed North Ridge CC in Raleigh and Roanoke Country Club in Virginia, redesigned our course. Our golf course is finely maintained by our Golf Course Superintendent, Chris Langston and his staff
